October 9–11 — The Norman Mailer Society holds its 22nd annual conference, “What Would Mailer Say?”, at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, co-sponsored by the University’s Maslow Family Graduate Program in Creative Writing, the Farley Library, and the President’s and Advancement Offices. The conference marks the grand opening of the Mailer Collection in the Farley Library Archives — the Norman Mailer Archives at Wilkes, with tours led by archivist Suzanna Calev — establishing a permanent institutional home for Mailer research alongside the Harry Ransom Center‘s holdings.
