Geoff Shullenberger is a writer, academic, and managing editor of Compact. He has returned several times to Mailer — including a 2022 Washington Examiner piece, “Mailer and the Monoculture” — and in his 2024 essay The Real “Woke Right” argues that The White Negro makes Mailer “both woke and redpilled avant la lettre.”
