Phillip Sipiora
Scholar of rhetoric, literature, and film; Professor of English and Film Studies at the University of South Florida and the founding editor of The Mailer Review. He wrote the "Criticism" chapter of Norman Mailer in Context (2021) and edited the Mailer essay collection Mind of an Outlaw.
Phillip Sipiora is a Professor of English and Film Studies at the University of South Florida and the founding editor of The Mailer Review — the annual jointly sponsored by USF and the Norman Mailer Society (see About this project). He is the author or editor of five books, including Mind of an Outlaw (Random House), a collection of essays by Norman Mailer, and he has published some fifty scholarly essays on twentieth-century literature and film, on writers from F. Scott Fitzgerald to Ernest Hemingway. He contributed the “Criticism” chapter to Norman Mailer in Context.
