Targ Editions, the New York fine-press imprint of the veteran bookman and editor William Targ, issued limited, signed editions of short works by major writers. In 1984 it published The Last Night (84.35) — Mailer’s apocalyptic story, first printed in Esquire in December 1963 (63.39) — as a 31-page, $100 limited edition of 250 copies.
