A posthumous-recovery year: The Mailer Review prints “The Blood of the Blunt,” one of the previously unpublished Mailer stories drawn from the Harry Ransom Center papers. The story is Lennon register entry 12.1. It is treated as short fiction in the companion project Norman Mailer’s Short Fiction (nmsf-id blood-of-the-blunt). The sixth volume’s scholarly contents — largely from the 2011 “Mailer and Jones” conference — are added below with page numbers; it carries two essays later chosen for the volume 16 festschrift (McKinley’s “Mailer’s Modern Myth,” the volume’s anchor selection, and Glenday’s “The Blade and the Gambler”).
