The Mailer Review is the annual scholarly journal of the Norman Mailer Society, published since 2007 in association with the University of South Florida. Alongside criticism, interviews, and reviews, the journal has served as the principal venue for the first publication of Mailer’s previously unpublished short fiction — the c. 1951 post–Barbary Shore stories recovered from the Harry Ransom Center, the Harvard juvenilia, and Mailer’s earliest surviving story. Phil Sipiora served as founding editor.
Mailer short fiction first published here includes “The Blood of the Blunt” (2012), “Love-Buds” (2013), “La Petite Bourgeoise” (2014), “The Thalian Adventure” (2015), “The Collision” (2016), and “Dr. Bulganoff and the Solitary Teste” (2017).
