The volume carries Lawrence Schiller’s essay on The Executioner’s Song (selected for the volume 16 festschrift), two recovered Mailer items — his Wilkes University commencement address and a Legs McNeil interview — and memorial tributes to Beverly Bentley (Mailer’s fourth wife) and to Chris Busa, both of whom died in 2020. The recovered Mailer items are flagged below as Work-page candidates; the volume’s Stream-B bibliography is deferred. Outside the Review, J. Michael Lennon’s memoir-essay The Archivist’s Apprentice appears in Life Writing Annual.
