Daniel Wolf
Co-founder and longtime editor of The Village Voice, which he launched with Norman Mailer and Edwin Fancher in October 1955. Mailer dedicated The Deer Park in part to him — "and to Daniel Wolf my friend."
Daniel Wolf co-founded The Village Voice with Mailer and Edwin Fancher; the first issue appeared 26 October 1955. He is a dedicatee of The Deer Park (55.4) and, with Fancher, co-edited The Village Voice Reader (Doubleday, 1962), which collects six of Mailer’s “Quickly” columns.
