Dotson Rader
American writer and journalist of the antiwar movement; quoted Mailer in 'The Day the Movement Died' (Esquire, 1972) and in Blood Dues (1973), and was present at the December 1971 St. John the Divine antiwar rally.
Dotson Rader, the writer and chronicler of the antiwar left, quoted Mailer extensively in “The Day the Movement Died” (Esquire, November 1972; 72.18) and revised the piece as “With Mailer at the Senator’s” in Blood Dues (Knopf, 1973). He was among those at the 6 December 1971 antiwar rally at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, where a fragment of Why Are We in Vietnam? was read.
