The Cornhill Magazine
The long-running London literary magazine, founded in 1860 (with William Makepeace Thackeray as its first editor) and published by John Murray until its close in 1975. Its summer 1953 number (no. 996) carried Mailer's very short story "The Notebook" (53.4), listing him among its cover contributors.
