Pennsylvania fine-binding house (the Franklin Mint's book division) that issued signed, leather-bound limited editions; it produced a special edition of Tough Guys Don't Dance in 1984.
The Franklin Library — the fine-binding imprint of the Franklin Mint in Franklin Center, Pennsylvania — issued signed, leather-bound collector’s editions of contemporary fiction. Simultaneously with the Random House first edition it produced a $75 signed leather-bound edition of Tough Guys Don’t Dance (84.17), carrying a one-page “Special Message for the First Edition by Norman Mailer” and his Provincetown poem “The Harbors of the Moon” from Deaths for the Ladies (and Other Disasters) (62.3). The Library had earlier issued the 1979 reissue of The Naked and the Dead with Mailer’s new preface (79.36).
