Mailer confirms reports that he has divorced his second wife, Adele Morales, in Juarez, Mexico, but won’t confirm (accurate) reports that he had wed Lady Jeanne Campbell, daughter of the Earl of Argyll and granddaughter of Lord Beaverbrook. “There’s a theory that Jeanne and I both love a mystery,” Mailer says, “and that’s why we’re keeping a firm secret on the little matter — whether we’re married or not.”
