“A Conversation between Norman Mailer and John Ehrlichman: The CIA and Watergate,” in Chic 2 (December 1976). Mailer’s three-page introduction is followed by a transcript of his conversation with the Watergate figure John Ehrlichman. The blue-cover advance proof of Pieces and Pontifications (82.16) reprinted the dialogue as “Rounding Watergate,” but it was dropped from the published printings; it survives in Best of Chic 1 (1978) and partially in The Time of Our Time (98.7).
