Writers' Writers

Mailer's contribution to a New York Times Book Review symposium of 21 writers on the living writer they most admire; Mailer named Henry Miller and Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

“Writers’ Writers,” a New York Times Book Review symposium (4 December 1977) in which Mailer and twenty other writers answer the question “Who is the living writer you most admire?” Mailer: “Good lord, I think it’s Henry Miller.
