Jean Davison wrote Oswald’s Game (W. W. Norton, 1983), a study of the Kennedy assassination making the case that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. Mailer — then still inclined toward the conspiracy theories — contributed a foreword (83.58); the assassination would become the subject of his own Oswald’s Tale: An American Mystery (95.16) a dozen years later.
