A post-2016 year. The Mailer Review prints “Dr. Bulganoff and the Solitary Teste,” the last of its run of previously unpublished c. 1951 Mailer stories from the Ransom Center papers; and Maggie McKinley publishes Understanding Norman Mailer (University of South Carolina Press) — billed as the first book of literary criticism to address Mailer’s entire career, and the register’s first single-author critical monograph (Work form: criticism).
