Sixth and final installment of Responses and Reactions — Mailer departs from Buber in this concluding column and discusses the minority status of Jews and Negroes. With the exception of the introductory paragraph, this column comprises the bulk of the untitled preface to 'The Tenth Presidential Paper — Minorities' in The Presidential Papers (63.37), and is partially reprinted in The Idol and the Octopus (68.11) as 'On Minorities' and 'Action for Minorities.'
