Her birth is recorded in the published Lennon Days, p. 13 (“Daughter Kate Cailean born to Jeanne on 18 August”). She is Mailer’s fourth child after Susan (b. 1949, to Beatrice Silverman), Danielle (1957) and Elizabeth Anne “Betsy” (1959), the latter two to Adele Morales. As an adult Kate Mailer has worked as an actress on stage and screen.
