Norman Mailer: Works and Days

Bibliography 1971

Bibliography for 1971. Thirty-six entries from Lennon & Lennon’s Works and Days (71.171.33, including the lettered insertions 71.15a, 71.27a, and 71.30a). All but The Colony (71.33) carry a Work page. Mailer’s four 1971 books — Of a Fire on the Moon, King of the Hill, The Prisoner of Sex, and Maidstone: A Mystery — anchor the year. A later editorial addition appends one further secondary review outside the print register: Anatole Broyard’s New York Times notice of The Prisoner of Sex.
